L’Isola del Cinema is proud to present again the historical and international section Isola Mondo Festival. Every year, its program gains new movies which are the result of innovative collaborations and of reasearches done during festivals of the past months.
Several countries are fixed guests on the Tiber Island and they return to propose the last season movies for their first and sometimes their unique projection in Italy. In 2016 the attention will be focused on the immigration cinematography and on the best women-directed french movies.
Among the others: Bulgaria with three films, Japan with two days of culture, art and gastronomy, Israel, Nicaragua, four screenings of Catalan Cinema accompanied by a tasting and even a selection of Mexican short films, a Portuguese film, two works by Brazilian director Julio Bressane and finally three days entirely dedicated to the new Australian cinematography for the expected return of the Australian Focus, historic guest of Isola Mondo Festival.
All the movies will be presented in their original language (with italian subtitles) and will be accompanied by debates and meetings in collaboration with Embassy and foreign Cultural Institutes.
